Hall of Champions
One of the most decorated Track & Field athletes in West Texas A&M history, Rellie Kaputin takes her rightful place in the WTAMU Hall of Champions. She was an integral part in the program winning their first two NCAA Division II National Championships as well as opening international recruiting to a whole new level.

The Papa New Guinea native was an incredible 11-time First Team All-American while winning three individual National Championships in Maroon & White. She claimed seven different Lone Star Conference Titles during her career while being named the league's LSC Female Field Athlete of the Year three times.

As a junior in 2017, was named USTFCCCA National Women's Field Athlete of the Year after she became the first female individual National Champion in WT history, winning the triple jump and scoring 21 points at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships in Birmingham, Alabama. She followed that up in the outdoor season by winning the triple jump and scoring 22 points at the NCAA Championships as WT claimed the National Title.

She still holds the third longest triple jump mark (13.28m) in NCAA Division II Outdoor history while tying for 10th (13.09m) for the best all-time indoor mark. Following her career in Canyon, Kaputin competed in the 2020 Summer Olympics and she is currently training in Australia looking to qualify for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
