Bachman coached the equestrian team from 1995-2005.  She coached five champion or reserve champion teams and 20 champion or reserve champion individuals in national competitions. 
 
She guided the Lady Buffs to the IHSA National Western Team Championship in 2003 and a Varsity Equestrian (now NCEA, National Collegiate Equestrian Association) Champion Western Team in 2002 and IHSA National Reserve Champion Western Team in 1996.
 
Bachman also guided the team to the Tournament of Champions Western Team (2002 and 2003) and ISHSA Western Champion teams, Zone VII Region II, 1996, 2001; Reserve Champion Team, 2003.  She coached 21 individual national champion or reserve champion riders.
 
She earned the NACTA Teaching Award of Merit in 1998 and 2005, was a Who's Who Among American Teachers in 2002 and 2005, and has a WTAMU Board of Regents Resolution in 2002.
