Hall of Champions
Boeka earned Missouri Valley Conference Champion honors in 1974, while qualifying for the NCAA Tournament in 1973-74 and earned honorable mention all-America honors in 1974. He was named Panhandle Sports Golfer of the Year in 1972 and was the City Municipal Champion in 1968.  Boeka was United State Amateur Qualifier from 1971-73.
During his golfing career, he won tournaments in five different decades and retired from amateur golf in 1998 and became the assistant pro at Comanche Trails Golf Course in Amarillo. He was elected membership of PGA of America.
