DeShields ranks tenth all-time in school history in scoring at 1,427 points. She played in 119 games and went 101-18 in her career for the Lady Buffs as a member of three Lone Star Conference championship teams. DeShields helped lead the Lady Buffs to three NCAA appearances, including the Elite Eight in 1997.
She ranks third all-time in career 3-pointers with 198, while recording 79 triples in 1994-95, which ranks third-most in program history for a season. She also ranked eighth in school history that season in 3-point field goal percentage at a .432 clip.
DeShields was a two-time GTE Academic All-America selection and was a two-time WT Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 1995 and 1996. She was a three-time all-conference selection.
