Corley played football at WT from 1953-1957.  He came to WT as a walk-on and earned a scholarship after his freshman year in 1953.  Corley was a member of the Buffs' second bowl team as WT downed Southern Mississippi 20-13 in the Tangerine Bowl in Orlando, Fla., on Jan. 1, 1957.
 
As a junior and senior he averaged nine yards per carry as a running back and had back-to-back 100 yard games against Texas Tech in 1955 and 1956.  Corley was a team captain as a senior in 1956 and earned the President's Award as a junior.
