Stuart had a standout career for the Buffs where he was named Missouri Valley Conference Most Valuable Player.  He recorded a school-record 32 solo tackles in a game against Wichita State.  Later in life, he worked with Burlington Northern-Santa Fe Railroad for 37 Years. 
 
He is a member of the Buffalo Club and started the Harold and Claudia Stuart Scholarship
