Hall of Champions
Melissa Harper adds her name to a long list of Lady Buff Volleyball standouts inducted into the Hall of Champions. She finished her career in Maroon & White with an incredible record of 143-21 while protecting the historic WTAMU Fieldhouse, going 90-8 inside of "The Box". Harper led the Lady Buffs to four Lone Star Conference Championships as WT went a perfect 48-0 against conference foes in her career.

Harper finished her career with 1,408 kills to sit ninth in program history while also ranking fifth in attack-percentage (.361), fifth in total blocks (431) and ninth in total points (1,690). The Peoria, Arizona native was a part of three squads that claimed Regional Championships highlighted by a run to the NCAA Division II National Championship match during her senior season in 2009.

She was named the Lone Star Conference Player of the Year in 2009 while being tabbed the league's nominee for NCAA Woman of the Year, she was a two-time AVCA All-American as well as a standout in the classroom being named WT's Scholar Athlete of the Year. Melissa is currently a 5th grade teacher in Amarillo where she resides with her husband Dale, a former WT football player, along with their sons Beau and Brooks.
