Pak-A-Sak has been a Corporate Partner of WT Athletics for nearly 25 years, most visibly as sponsor of the Pak-A-Sak Thanksgiving Classic basketball tournament and as the first Cornerstone Partner of Buffalo Stadium, which opened in 2019. Previously, Pak-A-Sak was inducted into the West Texas A&M University Old Main Society in 2018.
 
The Pak-A-Sak Thanksgiving Classic has been a staple on the WT basketball schedules for the better part of two decades, marking the start of the basketball season. The company also sponsors the Pak-A-Sak Quarterback Sak at football games, which benefits an important local charity, Snack Pak 4 Kids, with a donation for each sack made by the Buffalo defense.
 
In 1978 Dale and Joyce McKee opened the first Pak-A-Sak convenience store in Canyon, Texas, and their support of local education and West Texas started soon after. Today, Pak-A-Sak is a three-generation family-owned business and has grown to include 24 different locations across the Texas Panhandle. Their location in Childress is a popular stop for our traveling Buffs and Lady Buffs!
