Natasha Taylor Stewart was part of a special group of Lady Buffs who were 101-18 in four years under Coach Bob Schneider - winning two LSC championships and advancing to the NCAA regionals three times, including the Elite Eight at Grand Forks, N.D. in 1997.
As a senior she was selected first-team All-American, as well as first-team All-LSC and LSC Most Valuable Player. Stewart was also selected third-team academic All-American, first-team All-South Central Region, South Central Regional Tournament MVP, and MVP in three regular season tournaments. As a junior she was honorable mention All-American.
Stewart is the second leading scorer in Lady Buff history with 1,877 points, and is ranked in the top five of Lady Buff career and single game statistics in 19 different categories. She holds the Lady Buff record for most field goals in a single game (15) set against Mesa State on Dec. 1, 1994.
She was also a finalist for the prestigious NCAA Woman of the Year in 1997, which is based on academic achievement, athletic excellence, service and leadership.
