CANYON, Texas – For the fifth consecutive season the West Texas A&M Buffaloes are heading home with some hardware as they claimed a National Runner-Up finish at the 2025 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the Pueblo ThunderBowl in Pueblo, Colorado.

The 4x100m relay squad for the Buffaloes put together an impressive showing as the relay of
Jace Lynch,
Jerry Jakpa,
James Dadzie and
Isaac Botsio won the National Championship with a time of 39.43.
Aziz Mohammed claimed All-American honors in the men's 1,500m as the Ghana native ran a time of 3:50.93 to finish sixth.

Botsio finished off his junior campaign with his second National Title of the afternoon in the men's 100m with a blazing time of 9.94, the second fastest time in school history.
Prince Mcabelo now holds four of the top-10 marks in program history in the 800m as he claimed a third-place finish and All-American honors on Saturday with a time of 1:49.23.

William Amponsah cemented himself as one of the top distance runners in Division II history during the final event of the meet for the Buffaloes as he ran a time of 14:26.23 in the 5,000m to win his second National Championship of the weekend.
