2024 Cross Country: Competed in six races for the Buffaloes during the 2024 cross country season. Finished 21st at the Lone Star Conference Championships with a time of 25:20.8. Claimed a 5th place finish at the Aggie Duels in Lawton with a time of 25:08.9. 

2024 Outdoor: Competed at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships in the 800m with a time of 1:51.38 and a 11th place finish. Also competed at the Lone Star Track and Field Championships in the 800m with times of 1:49.19 (4th place + new personal record) and 1:54.07 (4th place). Placed 1st at the Buffalo Invitational in the 800m with a time of 1:50.98. Received All-Region and All-American honors 

2024 Indoor: Earned a personal best at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships in the 800m with a time 1:49.12 and a 4th place finish. Also at the NCAA Indoor Championships…was part of the National Runner-Up team in the Distance Medley Relay with a time of 9:42.62 and in an additional 800m race with a time of 1:50.64 (7th place). Competed at the Lone Star Indoor Track and Field Championships in the 800m races with times of 1:51.91 (3rd place) and 1:57.31 (5th place). Received USTFCCCA All-Region and 2x First-Team All-American honors

2023 Cross Country: Competed in the Lone Star Conference Cross Country Championship in the 8k (26:30.5)… Recorded a personal record in the 5k (15:50.5)... 

Monroe College: 2x Indoor Regional Athlete of the Year, Men's Indoor Athlete of the Year, President's List recipient. Placed 1st in the 800m with a time of 1:54.84 at the Wagner Invitational (1/7/22).
 
Anchor Comprehensive High School: Coached by Lungile Bikeni. 
 
Personal:  Son of Millicent Phuti Mcabelo. Brother to Elizabirth, Portia and Maggie Makate. Plans to major in Criminal Justice at WT.
