William Amponsah added another recognition to his already impressive resume on Wednesday night, setting a new NCAA Division II Men's Outdoor record in the 10,000m at the annual Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, California.

Matthys Bourse started off the Bryan Clay Invitational in style on Wednesday afternoon as the sophomore from France set a new school record in the men's 3,000m steeplechase with a mark of 8:41.76 to finish fifth overall behind competitors from Texas Tech, Iowa, Purdue and Air Force.

Eliette Chaput claimed a 20
th place finish in the women's steeplechase with a time of 10:06.00 for the third fastest mark in the event in program history.
Naomi Addo ran a time of 34:13.37 in the women's 10K to finish eighth in her heat, the third best mark in school history followed by
Julie Lafare with a mark of 35:05.29 to finish 22
nd in the heat and rank 10
th in WT history.

Amponsah continued his storied career with a fourth-place finish and a national best mark in the men's 10,000m as the Ghana product ran a time of 27:47.93 for the fastest 10K time in NCAA Division II history, surpassing the mark held by Chico State's Scott Bauhs back in 2008 (27:48.06).

Adrian Legarreta completed the fourth fastest 10K race in WT history with a time of 28:50.35 to win Heat 2.
Dennis Cheruiyot (29:25.67, 6
th) and
Enrico Oddone (29:28.57, 8
th) also registered Top-10 school marks.
Harry Louradour would compete in the same heat as Amponsah, running a time of 29:31.15 to finish 24
th while registering the 10th best mark in school history.Â
