NCAA Division II Cross Country All-American (2024)

2024 Cross Country: Earned All-American honors for the Buffaloes during the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships with a 10th place finish (29:55.3). Finished 11th at the NCAA South Central Regional Championships with a time of 31:48.4. Ran a time of 23:57.4 at the Lone Star Conference Championships to finish 4th as the Buffs won another LSC Title.

2024 Outdoor: Competed at the Lone Star Track and Field Championships in the 5,000m (14:40.49; 3rd place) and in the 10,000m (31:29.09; 3rd place). Recorded multiple personal records in the 10,000m (Bryan Clay Invitational; 24:43.36; 5th place), in the 5,000m (96th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays; 14:20.12; 8th place), and in the 1500m (WT Spring Break Open; 3:57.62; 2nd place). Received Second-Team All-Conference honors for the 2024 outdoor season.

2024 Indoor: Competed at the Lone Star Indoor Track and Field Championships and earned a personal best in the 3000m with a time of 8:24.92, placing 2nd. Legarreta also placed 3rd at the Lone Star Championships in the 5000m with a time of 14:31.34, placing 3rd. Earned an additional PR at the Jarvis Scott Open in the mile with a time of 4:15.65, earning 10th place

2023 Cross Country: Competed in the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championship in the 10k with a time of 31:19.1and helped the Buffs to a fourth place finish… Competed in the NCAA Division II South Central Region Cross Country Championships earning a personal best time in the 10k (30:59.7).. Earned a personal best time in the 8k (24:53.6) at the Lone Star Conference Cross Country Championship… Earned a final personal best at the Big Country Festival in the 5k (15:34.4) placing 5th…

2022 Cross Country: Finished 22^nd at the LSC Championship. Finished 17^th in the 8k at the NMJC Cross Country Invitational II with a personal best time of 26:00.4. Finished 44^th in the 6k at the Big Country XC Festival with a personal best time of 20:43.5.

2021 Cross Country: Did not compete.

Friona High School: Graduated in 2021. State qualifier in cross country as a junior and senior. Named Cross Country MVP as a senior. Regional qualifier in track. Also lettered in football. 
 
Personal: Born on May 27, 2003. Son of Olga and Alfredo Legarreta. Has three siblings. Plans on majoring in sports and exercise science.
