CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M scored 48 points the paint on Thursday night as the Lady Buffs picked up a convincing 70-53 Lone Star Conference victory over the Western New Mexico Mustangs at Drag's Court in Silver City, New Mexico. WT remains atop of the league standings and runs their win streak to six contests.

Madison Kast led the way as the Visalia, California product went 9-of-17 from the floor including 3-of-7 from the free throw line for a career-high 21 points to go along with nine rebounds, three steals and a block.
Alivia Lewis returned to her home state as the Los Lunas native finished with 17 points, four boards and two blocks with
Jayla Burgess also in double-figures with 10 points, eight rebounds and three blocks.

The Lady Buffs finished the night going 29-of-71 (40.8%) from the floor including 2-of-18 (11.1%) from deep and 10-of-15 (66.7%) from the charity stripe with 36 rebounds (10 offensive, 26 defensive), 10 assists, five turnovers, six blocks and 12 steals in the win.

Olivia Lee paced the WNMU offense as the sophomore guard went 5-of-11 from the field to tie for a team-high with 10 points while also leading all players with 14 rebounds for a double-double. The Mustangs finished the game going 23-of-59 (39%) from the floor including 2-of-14 (14.3%) from behind the arc and 5-of-7 (71.4%) from the free throw line with 41 rebounds, six assists, 17 turnovers, four blocks and two steals.

The Lady Buffs hit the road for the final time of the regular season on Monday afternoon as they head to San Antonio, Texas for rescheduled Lone Star Conference action against the St. Mary's Rattlers with tipoff set for 3:30 p.m. at Bill Greehey Arena.
