Biography
2020-21 (Junior):
Kast saw time in all 21 contests during the COVID-19 shortened campaign for the Lady Buffs, averaging 13.0 minutes per contest. The Visalia, California product went 33-of-76 (43.4%) from the floor including 7-of-30 (23.3%) from deep and 18-of-22 (81.8%) from the charity stripe to average 4.3 points per game to go along with 54 rebounds (19 offensive, 35 defensive), 10 assists, 11 blocks and nine steals.
At Ventura College:
Kast came to Canyon following one season at Ventura College in Ventura, California where she started all 27 games for the Pirates. She went 126-of-275 (45.8%) from the floor including 17-of-60 (28.3%) from behind the arc and 58-of-82 (70.7%) from the free throw line to average 12.1 points per game to go along with 151 total rebounds, 16 assists, four steals and 40 blocks to earn First Team All-Western State Conference.Â

The Pirates claimed the SoCal Regional Championship and advanced to the program's 19th CCCAA State Elite Eight before the COVID-19 pandemic cut their season short, VC has won eight State Championships with 16 final four appearances.
At Montana State:
Kast redshirted for the Bobcats during the 2016-17 campaign.

At Redwood High School:
Madison graduated from Redwood High School in 2016, leading the Rangers to a mark of 23-5 and a West Yosemite League Title during her senior campaign as she averaged 19 points and 15 rebounds to claim First Team All-State accolades while also being named the WYL Most Valuable Player and the Tulare County Player of the Year. Kast finished her prep career with 1,250 points and 1,152 rebounds to go along with 441 blocks , 194 assists and 187 steals.
Personal:
Born December 10, 1997. Daughter of Larry and Tanya Kast and she has three brothers: Josh, Ryan and Tyler. She is expected to major in Corporate Communications at West Texas A&M.
