Biography
At Mt. San Jacinto College:
Janssens comes to Canyon following two seasons at Mt. San Jacinto College where she saw time in 61 contests with 60 starts for the Eagles. She went 355-of-922 (38.5%) from the floor including 122-of-165 (73.9%) from the charity stripe during her two years at MSJC to average 15.2 points per game.Â

As a sophomore in 2019-20, Haylei averaged 19.2 points per game to go along with 377 rebounds (160 offensive, 217 defensive), 77 assists, 47 steals and 25 blocks. She was a two-time All-State selection during her time at Mt. San Jacinto while also being named the Inland Empire Athletic Conference (IEAC) Most Valuable Player, the Eagles went a combined 55-5 over those two campaigns.

At Martin Luther King High School:
The Moreno Valley, California native registered a standout prep career at Martin Luther King High School under head coach Jesus Martinez where she helped the Wolves to an overall record of 24-3 as a senior.
Personal:
Born November 17, 2000. Haylei is the daughter of Joleen Fowler and she has one sibling, Kiana. She is expected to major in Physical Education at West Texas A&M.Â
