Biography

2021-22:
Taylor was a staple on the court for the Lady Buffs during her junior campaign in 2021-22, averaging 21.8 minutes per contest as she saw time in 36 games with 25 starts. The Tennessee native went 101-of-282 (35.8%) from the floor including 32-of-97 (33%) from behind the arc and 42-of-60 (70%) from the free throw line to average 7.7 points per game to go along with 135 rebounds (52 offensive, 83 defensive), 31 assists, six blocks and 24 steals.

2020-21:
Taylor saw time in all 21 games with 18 starts for the Lady Buffs during the pandemic shortened 2020-21 season, averaging 23.3 minutes per contest. The Tennessee native went 54-of-120 (45%) from the floor including 10-of-38 (26.3%) from deep and 12-of-23 (52.2%) from the free throw line to average 6.2 points per game to go along with 90 rebounds (30 offensive, 60 defensive), 27 assists, four blocks and 18 steals.

At Christian Brothers:
Taylor came to Canyon following two seasons at Christian Brothers University where she saw time in 49 games with 33 starts for the Lady Bucs. As a sophomore in 2019-20, Lauren started all 24 games for the Bucs as she went 115-of-235 (48.9%) from the floor including 37-of-93 (39.8%) from behind the arc to average 12.7 points per contest which was second on the team, Taylor grabbed 157 rebounds (6.5/game) to go along with 43 assists, 23 steals and three blocks while averaging 32.5 minutes per contest.
 
As a freshman in 2018-19, Taylor went 58-of-133 (43.9%) from the field to average 6.3 points per contest to go along with 127 total rebounds (37 offensive, 90 defensive) to average 5.1 per contest. Lauren also excels in the classroom as she was named to the Gulf South Conference Academic Honor Roll.

At Collierville High School:
Taylor graduated from Collierville High School in 2018 where she was a member of the 1,000 Career Point Club for the Dragons under head coach Anthony Hall. She was a First Team All-Region and First Team All-District selection during her senior campaign while also excelling in the classroom as a member of the National Honor Society while graduating in the Top 4% of her class.

Born July 24, 2000. Daughter of Harold and Maxine Taylor and she has three siblings: Matthew, Nick and Latisha. Majoring in Mechanical Engineering at West Texas A&M.
