DALLAS, Texas – West Texas A&M women's soccer opened its 2015 campaign against RMAC power Metro State on Thursday afternoon in Dallas, Texas. The Lady Buffs allowed two late goals as they fell, 2-0, at the Patriot Soccer Field.
Both teams were held scoreless until the Roadrunners scored two goals in a span of two minutes starting in the 77
th minute.
TURNING POINTCourtney Dippel made two saves on MSU forward Reigna Banks in the 16
th and 18
th minute to keep Metro State off the board. The Roadrunners stayed aggressive as Jordan Post was denied by the post in the 19
th minute.
The match stayed scoreless until the 77
th minute when Korena Porelas found the back of the net.
The Roadrunners added a brace just two minutes later when Noemy Polanco found the back of the net. WT was unable to capitalize on the six corners they earned throughout the match.
INDIVIDUAL LEADERSCourtney Dippel had a match-high seven saves in her first collegiate match.
Rachel Herring led the team with two shots while
Ashlee Craig was the lone Lady Buff to get a shot on goal.

NEWS & NOTES- Metro State has now beaten the Lady Buffs, 2-0, in their last three meetings.
- Dippel was the lone freshmen to see action for WT.
- Today's loss marks the third-straight season the Lady Buffs have lost their season opener.
