CANYON, Texas – The Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M had limited scoring chances on Saturday afternoon as the top-ranked Dallas Baptist Patriots ran their win streak to 16 matches with a 5-0 shutout win at the Patriot Soccer Complex in Dallas, Texas.

Franciezca Blancaflor making crucial saves early, as she denied shots from Parker Coe and Chandler Wheat. Blancaflor's efforts kept the score level despite DBU's aggressive offensive efforts, including another save at the 30th minute against Anne Louthan's attempt.

DBU broke through in the 38th minute with Riley Olsen scoring, assisted by Ashley Washburn, putting the Lady Buffs behind. The visiting team continued to hold defensively but ended the period trailing 1-0.

The second half began with the Lady Buffs attempting to shift the momentum, as
Franciezca Blancaflor made a critical save in the 46th minute. Despite this effort, DBU managed to capitalize on their offensive push, with Parker Coe scoring in the 51st minute, assisted by Kenzi Tufts, extending their lead to 2-0.

Following this, DBU continued their offensive surge, adding to their tally with a goal by Emma Croley in the 68th minute, assisted by Coe, making it 3-0. Later, a penalty kick by Isabella Medina in the 83rd minute increased DBU's advantage to 4-0. The Lady Buffs fought to regain control but faced persistent pressure.

In the closing minutes, DBU's Kylar Coffman scored with an assist from Lauren Mueller, bringing the final score to 5-0. Despite the efforts of the Lady Buffs' defense, the half concluded with DBU maintaining their substantial lead.

Sydney Nanz contributed two saves against eight shots in her 28 minutes on the field.
Nadia Reyna played nearly seven minutes but did not record any saves while facing three shots.

Coe stood out with a goal, an assist, and a team-high seven shots, four of which were on target. Olsen contributed with a decisive game-winning goal and had a perfect shooting accuracy, scoring with her only shot on goal. Medina also found the back of the net with her single shot, converting a penalty successfully. In the defensive line, Mueller and Tufts each added an assist, aiding in their team's offensive efforts.

The Lady Buffs close out the regular season on the road on Tuesday night as they take on the Eagles of Oklahoma Christian with kickoff set for 7:00 p.m. in Edmond, Oklahoma.
