WT HEAD COACH TOM BROWN
"Well I'll tell you what, it is a lot of fun to come down here and play. We didn't come out on the right end, but what a great experience. First class facility, the way we were treated down here was just great. Obviously on the court, we weren't treated that nicely but great experience for our guys. I know our guys were looking forward to this for a long time" said Brown "It was a lot of fun; we had a lead there right away in the beginning. I don't know if Tubby (Smith) did that on purpose to give us a little hope, but we played hard and had a lot of fun. I think we learned a lot about ourselves, and we're looking forward to the rest of our season now when we get into the regular season with Fort Lewis on Friday."

BROWN'S POSTGAME PRESS CONFERENCE QUOTES
On Joseph Prince's early game performance …
"Joseph came in off the bench, and he can really score the basketball. We got him out in space, and he can create a little bit. We are probably not going to see the size that Tech had, and he can get into the lane. He is a very good athlete and player. He is starting to really understand team basketball. He still has a little way to go but is going to be a very special player for us."

On regular season starting this weekend …
"We had a good attitude in the locker room right now. We are disappointed, we wanted to win the game obviously. I tried to emphasize with them that it is just an exhibition game, win or lose, it doesn't matter. We want to work on some things. I think we have to clean up our offense a little bit. We did a pretty good job on defense, but it is just hard to stop those guys. We are just a little bit outmatched, but again we played hard. I felt we had a great effort."

On David Chavlovich's performance …
"He played pretty well. He is going to make those shots. He had a little bit of an off night shooting. To get back into rhythm, it is tough coming off a knee injury like that. In practice, there are some days where he looks good and some days where he looks sluggish. He is really starting to come into his own. He has a big year ahead of him because a lot of teams are going to key on him. Having Joseph Prince and having Jordan Evans and being able to stretch the floor is going to be really big for us."

Closing Statement …
"I'll tell you what, to go and coach against Tubby Smith, I'm probably beating a dead horse, but the guy is just first class. After the game, he came over and said, 'I would like to talk to you about a few things, what we did during the game.' I said, you have got to be kidding me. He is just first class, so is Joe (Esposito) and Vince (Taylor), all those guys over there. They have a lot of tools and I think he is going to have a great season this year."
