Buffalo Basketball Welcomes Austin Prosser for 2026-27

CANYON, TEXAS – West Texas A&M head men's basketball coach Tom Brown has announced the addition of Australian standout Austin Prosser for the 2026-27 campaign.

"Austin is a great young man that will only make our team and program better. He is a competitor and has a great understanding of the game" said Brown "We have seen continue growth in Austin in the last year and the sky is the limit for him. We are excited to welcome Austin Prosser to the Buff Family."

The 6'8 guard from New South Wales has gained valuable international experience with the Australian U17 squad who competed in the 2025 FIBA Oceania Championships, Prosser shot 50% from the field and 37.5% from behind the arc for the Crocs. Austin was selected to the prestigious National Performance Camp at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra.

"Austin is a proven winner who will make an immediate impact at West Texas A&M. He can really shoot the ball, play multiple roles on the wing, rebound at a high level, and does a lot of things that contribute to winning" added AUSA Basketball's Darren Best "He's had a terrific junior career, highlighted by involvement in national team camps, and I'm excited to see what he brings to the WT program."
