CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M men's golf shot a 278 (-10) on Friday as they sit fifth heading into the final round of the NCAA Division II West/South Central Regional Championships at the Victoria Club in Riverside, California.
 
Santiago Caride continued to play well for the Buffs as he carded a round of 68 (-4) on Friday to sit tied for seventh overall. Stetson Provence had five birdies during the second round to tie for 27^th on the individual leaderboard.
 
The Buffs still hold the best par-four scoring average of all teams at 3.85 as they have registered 41 feathers along with 107 pars.
 
Top-ranked Colorado Christian continued the low-scoring performances at the Victoria Club as the Cougars fired a 272 (-16) on Friday to carry a five-stroke lead (-34) over LSC foe Oklahoma Christian (-29) into the final round.
 
Baptiste Touchard of St. Mary's has put together impressive round of 63 and 66 to shoot a -15 (129) as he holds a two-stroke advantage over Xavier Bighaus of Colorado Christian (-13).
 
The Buffs will be paired with LSC members St. Mary's and Midwestern State on Saturday with tee time for the groups starting at 1:50 p.m. CT.
