CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M men's golf shot a 278 (-10) on Friday as they sit fifth heading into the final round of the NCAA Division II West/South Central Regional Championships at the Victoria Club in Riverside, California.

Santiago Caride continued to play well for the Buffs as he carded a round of 68 (-4) on Friday to sit tied for seventh overall.
Stetson Provence had five birdies during the second round to tie for 27
th on the individual leaderboard.

The Buffs still hold the best par-four scoring average of all teams at 3.85 as they have registered 41 feathers along with 107 pars.

Top-ranked Colorado Christian continued the low-scoring performances at the Victoria Club as the Cougars fired a 272 (-16) on Friday to carry a five-stroke lead (-34) over LSC foe Oklahoma Christian (-29) into the final round.

Baptiste Touchard of St. Mary's has put together impressive round of 63 and 66 to shoot a -15 (129) as he holds a two-stroke advantage over Xavier Bighaus of Colorado Christian (-13).

The Buffs will be paired with LSC members St. Mary's and Midwestern State on Saturday with tee time for the groups starting at 1:50 p.m. CT.
