CANYON, Texas – The Buffaloes of West Texas A&M conclude their fall schedule on Tuesday and Wednesday as they host the annual Ryan Palmer Foundation Invitational at Amarillo Country Club (Par 71 – 6,915 Yards). Tuesday will feature 36-holes followed by the final round on Wednesday morning.
 
The Buffs are coming off a victory at the DII Shootout at PGA Riviera Maya back on September 28-30. WT fired rounds of 299, 300 and 294 for a team total of 893 (+29) to claim a 10-stroke win over CSU Pueblo and UT Tyler (+39, 903). Victor Estas led the way for the Buffs with rounds of 74, 74 and 72 for a 220 (+4) to finish third overall.
 
The 16-team field for the Ryan Palmer Foundation Invitational features: UT Dallas, Odessa College, UT Tyler, Lubbock Christian, Dallas Baptist, Western New Mexico, Oklahoma Christian, William Jewell, Midwestern State, Colorado Mesa, Cameron, Hutchinson Community College, UT Permian Basin, Westminster and West Texas A&M (2 teams).
 
Established in 1919, the Amarillo Country Club has been the home of relaxation and recreation for Amarillo's business and professional community for over a century. The beautiful grounds boast an impeccably maintained golf course; the first of its kind in the Texas Panhandle. The facility at ACC features a championship 18-hole layout which was completely renovated in 2012 by five-time PGA Tour winner D. A. Weibring and Golf Course Architect Steve Wolfard.
 
Ryan Palmer, an Amarillo native and current PGA Professional, created his foundation in 2003 which creates life-change and brighter futures for communities and underserved families by offering access to education, self-care and personal development. The Amarillo High School alum turned professional in 2000 and he has registered four career victories on the PGA Tour to go along with 71 Top-10 finishes during his career.
