William Amponsah continued to dominate the Division II distance world on Thursday night as the senior claimed his second straight National Championship in the 10,000m during the 2025Â NCAA DII Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the Pueblo ThunderBowl in Pueblo, Colorado.

Men's Recap
Romet Vahter continued to impress as the junior from Estonia claimed 4,126 points on the opening day of the men's decathlon to sit atop of the leaderboard following five events. Vahter won the long jump with a mark of 7.47m to go along with fourth place finishes in the high jump (1.96m) and the 400m (48.63).

Khalil Bedoui registered the first points of the meet for the Buffaloes as the Virginia Tech transfer claimed a sixth-place finish in the men's hammer throw with a mark of 61.51m for the third best mark in program history, he also had the fourth (60.10m) and fifth (59.02m) farthest marks in WT history in the event.

Joseph Oreva claimed his fourth career All-American honor in the men's long jump with a mark of 7.68m on his fifth attempt to finish second overall.
Matthys Bourse claimed the 12
th and final qualifying spot in the men's steeplechase with a time of 9:21.62.

The Buffalo 4x100m relay team of
Jace Lynch,
James Dadzie,
Troy Whyte and
Isaac Botsio punched their ticket to the finals with a time of 39.92. Botsio would also qualify for the 100m dash finals as he ran a mark of 10.05 for the seventh best mark in program history.

Aziz Mohammed impressed in the men's 1,500m prelims as the Ghana product ran a time of 3:54.41 to claim the final qualifying spot in the finals.

Graduate transfer
Khalil Bedoui finished off his collegiate career in style in the hammer throw, registering the third, fourth and fifth best throws in school history on his way to All-American honors and a sixth-place finish with a throw of 61.51m.

Amponsah closed out the night continuing to prove his dominance in the men's 10,000m as the senior ran a time of 29:29.41 to win his second consecutive National Title in the event, also registering his seventh career All-American honor in the process.Â

The Lady Buff 4x100 relay team of
Peace Nwaelehia,
Leah Belfield,
Blessing Akintoye and
Deborah Acheampong started off the action on the women's side with a season-best time of 44.57 to qualify for the finals.

Sarah Koomson registered the ninth best time in program history in the women's 1,500m (4:26.93) to advance to Saturday. Nwaelehia (52.51) and Akintoye (53.16) tallied a pair of Top-10 times in the 400m prelims to qualify for the finals as Nwaelehia sits second on the school's record book with Akintoye in 10
th.

Eliette Chaput punched her ticket to the women's steeplechase finals with the ninth best mark in WT outdoor history (10:41.54).
Naomi Addo claimed the first All-American honors of the meet for the Lady Buffs in the women's 10K as the freshman ran a time of 35:35.56 to finish eighth overall.Â
