CANYON, Texas – The West Texas A&M Buffaloes wrapped up their season on Wednesday as they finished 14
th at the 2025 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championships at the PGA National Resort (Par 72 – 7,074 Yards) in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
The Buffs registered 16 birdies during the final round of stroke play as they finished 54 holes with 39 feathers to go along with three eagles. WT fired rounds of 303, 295 and 293 for a total score of 891 (+27) to finish 14
th on the team leaderboard.
Santiago Caride led the way for the Buffs as the Argentina product had three birdies in Wednesday's round to shoot a 72 (E), sitting 34
th on the individual leaderboard with a total score of +3 (219).
Hunter Smith of North Georgia won the NCAA Division II National Title with rounds of 71, 67 and 72 for a score of 210 (-6) for a one-stroke victory over four other competitors. Colorado Christian, West Florida, Missouri S&T, Florida Southern, North Georgia, Wingate, St. Mary's and Oklahoma Christian punched their ticket to medal match play beginning tomorrow morning.
