CANYON, Texas – The West Texas A&M Buffaloes shot a team score of 303 (+15) on Monday during the opening round of the 2025 NCAA Division II Men's Golf National Championships at the PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

The Buffs registered nine birdies and 55 pars along with an eagle during Monday's opening round. WT will be paired with Florida Southern along with individuals during Round 2 on Tuesday starting with traditional tee times at Noon CT.

Santiago Caride led the way for the Buffs as the junior from Bariloche, Argentina registered four birdies on his way to an opening round score of 73 (+1) to sit tied for 35
th on the individual leaderboard.
Victor Estas fired a 74 (+2) as he tallied a pair of feathers along with an eagle on the 488-yard par five fifth hole.

Lone Star Conference member St. Mary's shot a 279 (-9) to hold a seven-stroke lead over Florida Southern (-2, 286). Bennett McNabb of Lee shot a -6 (66) for a one-stroke lead over Florida Southern's Colton Swartz (-5, 67) followed by Kongpop Kaikew and Baptiste Touchard of St. Mary's (-4) tied for third.
