CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M shot a team score of 299 on Tuesday during the final stroke play round of the 2025 Lone Star Conference Men's Golf Championships at Rockwall Golf and Athletic Club (Par 72 – 7,219 Yards) in Rockwall, Texas.
Victor Estas (71, -1) and
Santiago Caride (70, -2) both shot rounds in the red on Tuesday as Estas finished tied for eighth (+3, 219) followed by Caride tied for 11
th (+4, 220). The Buffs finished stroke play second in par-three scoring at 3.12 while tallying 40 birdies and 151 pars over 56 holes.
Oklahoma Christian's Leandro Mihaich claimed the LSC Individual Championship with rounds of 74, 70 and 70 (-2) for a one-stroke victory over Philip Hallstrom of St. Mary's and Samuel Jenkins of DBU.
Oklahoma Christian (+7), St. Mary's (+10), DBU (+18) and Midwestern State (+28) advance to the medal match round on Wednesday to decide the 2025 Lone Star Conference Champion.
The Buffs now await their postseason fate as the complete field for the 2025 NCAA Division II Men's Golf National Championships will be announced following conference championships across the country.
