CANYON, Texas – The West Texas A&M Buffaloes carded rounds of 305, 293 and 303 to finish 12
th on the team leaderboard at the Tennessee River Rumble hosted by Lincoln Memorial at WindRiver Golf Club in Lenoir City, Tennessee.
Santiago Caride led the way for the Buffs as he registered rounds of 75, 73 and 75 for a +7 (223) followed by
Victor Estas and
Luis Palomo tied for 44
th with a 225 (+9). Estas registered the only round in the red for the Buffs during the event as he had three birdies and two bogeys during the second round to shoot a -1 (71).
George Durkan of Lincoln Memorial carded rounds of 71, 72 and 68 on his way to a 211 (-4), winning the individual title by one-stroke over Holt Allison of Lenoir-Rhyne (212, -3). The host and 4
th ranked Railsplitters claimed the team crown with a score of +6 (870) for a one-stroke victory over #2 North Georgia (871, +7).
The Buffs return to the course on April 7-8 as they make their way to Mayetta, Kansas to take part in the Firekeeper Open hosted by Washburn at Firekeeper Golf Course & Resort.
