Luis Palomo fired a 70 on Tuesday to finish tied for 15
th at the 11
th annual Rattler Invitational at The Dominion Country Club in San Antonio, Texas.
The junior from Barcelona, Spain registered rounds of 76, 71 and 72 for a 219 (+3) to lead the way for the Buffaloes, he tallied a pair of birdies to go along with an eagle on the 404 yard par-four first hole.
Bryce Womack of Midland College tallied a 209 (-7) to claim the individual championship by one stroke over Kongpop Kaikaew of St. Mary's and Samuel Jenkins of DBU (-6, 210).
The host Rattlers fired rounds of 290, 288 and 277 for a team total of 855 (-9) to win the team crown by eight strokes over Midland College (-1, 863). DBU and UT Tyler shot a 876 (+12) to finish tied for third followed by Texas A&M International (+15, 879) to round out the top-five.
The Buffs registered rounds of 305, 292 and 300 for a team total of 897 (+33) to finish 10
th on the team leaderboard.
WT returns to the course on March 17-18 as they take part in the Oak Tree Invitational hosted by Oklahoma Christian at Oak Tree Country Club in Edmond.
