CANYON. Texas – West Texas A&M Track & Field began their 2024-25 indoor campaign on Saturday in Boston, Massachusetts as they took part in the Sharon Colyear-Danvile Season Opener at the BU Track & Tennis Center.
 
The 3,000m featured a pair of Lady Buffs in Heat 4 as 
Kalkidan Vincendeau finished 10
th with a time of 9:28.82 followed by 
Eliette Chaput in 18
th (9:40.47). Saturday marked the first 3K for both runners in Maroon & White. Vincendeau would finish 63
rd overall in the 139-runner field with the second fastest Division II time in the event followed by Chaput in 84
th.
 
Julie Lafare finished 16
th in Heat 5 of the women's 5K with a time of 17:05.36 during her first indoor event as a Lady Buff to sit 132
nd overall among 181 total runners.
 
Naomi Addo impressed in Heat 6 of the 5,000m as the freshman from Accra, Ghana ran a time of 16:42.07 to finish second in her heat and 98
th overall. 
Elise Leveel ran a time of 16:58.91 in the same heat to finish 11
th in the heat and 123
rd overall.
 
Matthys Bourse was the first Buff on the track in the men's 3,000m as the junior from Langueux, France ran a personal-best time of 8:06.34 in Heat 4 to finish seventh in the heat and 51
st overall in the 123-runner field.
 
Heat 5 of the men's 5K featured cross country All-American 
Harry Louradour as the French product ran a time of 14:24.61 to finish 21
st in his heat and 159
th overall. 
 
Heat 7 of the night saw the final two Buffaloes hit the track as 
Adrian Legarreta registered a time of 13:59.89 to finish seventh in the heat followed by 
Enrico Oddone in 16
th (14:21.16). Legarreta would finish 111
th overall in the massive 212 runner field followed by Oddone in 152
nd.
 
WT returns to the track on Friday, December 13
th as they make their way to Colorado Springs, Colorado to take part in the Colorado Running Company Pre-Holiday Invite & Multi at the Mountain Lion Fieldhouse on the campus of UCCS.
