LAST TIME OUT
West Texas A&M women's soccer held off a furious Angelo State Rambelle attack in the final five minutes to end in a scoreless draw. The Rambelles found space behind the Lady Buffs' back line in the 24th minute when Sanai Stewart made a run. As Stewart approached the box, Heelan charged off her line. Stewart tried to slip a shot past Heelan, but the try went wide of the open goal. It wasn't until the 27th minute where the Lady Buffs registered their first shot only for it to go wide as well. In the 69th minute, a WT foul set up an Angelo State free kick just outside the box. Katelin Heise stepped up to take the kick where she sent a rocket toward Heelan, but a leaping save kept the game tied. With less than five minutes to play, Heelan came up big once again as the senior converted a pair of saves in 10 seconds, preserving the scoreline to earn a conference point.
