Day 1 Results
 
BROOMFIELD, Colo. – The West Texas A&M women's golf team started the season with a strong showing, leading The Swan Memorial after the first two rounds. The Lady Buffs registered a team score of six-over par, 582, to lead by 24 strokes.
 
Gam Songprasert paced WT with a first-round score of six-under par, 66. Songprasert then turned in a score of three-over, 75, in the second round to sit tied for first place. Lorenza Perini, playing as an individual, used scores of one-over and one-under to move into a tie for third place. Freshman Sarah Reed used an eagle on hole no. 5 to move into a tie for fifth.
 
Rylie Cook and Antonella Periotti Omisolo ended the first day tied for ninth with each scoring a five-over, 149, across 36 holes. Right behind the pair, Anna Nomrowski rounded out the Lady Buffs' lineup with a two-round score of six-over, 150.
 
Individuals Logan Culpepper and Liv Romer finished tied for 14^th and 33^rd, respectively. Culpepper scored eight-over, 152, on the first day while Romer scored a 15-over, 159.
 
WT resume The Swan Memorial tomorrow at the Broadlands Golf Club with a 9 a.m. Central shotgun start.
