CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M freshman Victor Estas fired an opening round 74 (+2) to sit 10^th following the first day of The Writz at Mile High hosted by Colorado Christian and Colorado School of Mines at Bear Creek Golf Club (Par 72 – 7,224 Yards) at Lakewood, Colorado.
 
The Kortenburg, Belgium product registered six birdies on Sunday highlighted by four on the back nine. WT finished the opening round with 17 feathers. 
 
Colorado School of Mines leads the way on the team leaderboard with a score of 363 (+3) to hold an eight-stroke lead over fellow host Colorado Christian (+11, 371). Adam Duncan of Colorado Christian takes a one-stroke lead into the second round following an opening round score of 68 (-4).
