CANYON, Texas – The West Texas A&M Buffaloes shot a 293 (+5) during Tuesday's final round to finish sixth on the team leaderboard at the Firekeeper Open at Firekeeper Golf Club (Par 71 – 7,125 Yards) in Mayetta, Kansas.
Victor Estas shot a team-best -2 (70) during the final round to finish tied for 26
th with a 222 (+6).
Santiago Caride registered his fifth Top-20 finish of the season as the senior shot rounds of 74, 71 and 74 for a 219 (+3) to sit tied for 15
th on the individual leaderboard.
Central Oklahoma claimed the team title with rounds of 288, 282 and 285 for an 855 (-9) for a 13-stroke lead over the host Washburn Ichabods. Myles Tarvin of Washburn and Rhett Hughes of Central Oklahoma tied atop of the individual leaderboard with a -6 (210) as Hughes won in a playoff.
The Buffs turn their attention to the postseason as they take part in the 2026 Lone Star Conference Golf Championships on April 20-22 at Rockwall Golf & Athletic Club in Rockwall, Texas.
