CANYON, Texas – The West Texas A&M women's soccer team wraps up its 2023 home schedule on Tuesday with a game against the Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds. The Lady Buffs host ENMU at 4 p.m. at The Pitch.

All TIME SERIES
WT leads the all-time series with Eastern New Mexico while holding a 19-7-3 record. The Lady Buffs are 11-2-2 against the Greyhounds at home and have won three-straight meetings against ENMU. Last season, WT went to Portales where the Lady Buffs cruised to a 4-1 victory.
LAST TIME OUT
WT watched another 1-0 halftime lead slip away in the second half as Midwestern State took the game, 3-1. The Lady Buffs gained the advantage in the 22
nd minute when
Avery Putnam registered her first collegiate goal. In the second half, the Mustangs leveled the game in the 49
th minute before taking the lead in the 74
th. MSU added another goal in the 80
th minute to put the game away.
SCOUTING EASTERN NEW MEXICO
The Greyhounds visit Canyon with a 1-12-4 record and have lost their previous nine contests. Eastern New Mexico has scored 10 goals this season from seven different players. Nina Ballesteros, Emma Hafenbrak, and Sydney Saxon each have five points on two goals and an assist. In goal, Samantha Jeffries accounts for all but 25 minutes on the season. During her 1505 minutes, Jeffries has 34 goals allowed and 75 saves on 251 shots faced for a 2.03 goals-against average and .688 save percentage.
LSC PRESEASON POLL
Reigning Lone Star Conference champion Dallas Baptist picked up 37 of 39 possible first-place votes and 504 points to top the poll. Angelo State followed the Patriots in the standings with 457 points. WT finished third (one first-place, 412) while Lubbock Christian (351) and St. Mary's (339) rounded out the top five.
St. Edward's received the sixth spot with 318 points followed by Midwestern State (299) and UT Tyler (219). Texas A&M International (182) and Oklahoma Christian (149) finish the top 10 with Texas Woman's (127), Eastern New Mexico (114), and UT Permian Basin (78) conclude the rankings.
A LOOK AHEAD
WT ends the 2023 season on the road against St. Mary's. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in San Antonio.
