CANYON, Texas – The West Texas A&M women's soccer team travels to San Angelo, Texas for a Lone Star Conference matchup with the Angelo State Rambelles. The Lady Buffs (1-5-5, 0-3-3 LSC) and Rambelles (4-6-4, 3-2-3 LSC) start action at 7 p.m. on the ASU Soccer Field.

WT leads the all-time series with Angelo State by holding a 22-15-7 record against the Rambelles in a series that dates to 1996. The Lady Buffs won last season's meeting on

st minute. WT is 8-9-4 on the road against Angelo State and hasn't won on the road in six years.

LAST TIME OUT
WT found itself at an early disadvantage as UT Tyler took the lead two minutes into the game. The Lady Buffs trailed for the remainder of the first half and most of the second half until the 77
th minute. With time running short,
Avery Putnam took her dribble towards the touch line before crossing to
Reagan Matacale inside the box. After beating a pair of defenders, Matacale lifted a shot over Wilken and into the side netting. WT exhausted the remaining time and left Tyler with a draw.

SCOUTING ANGELO STATE
After starting the season 1-4-1, the Rambelles have posted a 3-2-3 record in Lone Star Conference play. In its most recent match, Angelo State played to a scoreless draw with then No. 13-ranked Dallas Baptist. Abby James leads the Rambelles with seven points on two goals and three assists. In goal, Amber Lockwood has started every game and played all but 50 minutes of the season. Lockwood has registered 16 goals allowed and recorded 40 saves on 140 shots faced for a 1.19 goals-against average and .714 save percentage.

LSC PRESEASON POLL
Reigning Lone Star Conference champion Dallas Baptist picked up 37 of 39 possible first-place votes and 504 points to top the poll. Angelo State followed the Patriots in the standings with 457 points. WT finished third (one first-place, 412) while Lubbock Christian (351) and St. Mary's (339) rounded out the top five.

St. Edward's received the sixth spot with 318 points followed by Midwestern State (299) and UT Tyler (219). Texas A&M International (182) and Oklahoma Christian (149) finish the top 10 with Texas Woman's (127), Eastern New Mexico (114), and UT Permian Basin (78) conclude the rankings.
