CANYON, Texas – After taking down No. 14 Emporia State at home on Friday, the West Texas A&M women's soccer team hits the road for the first time in the 2022 season. The Lady Buffs travel to Alamosa, Colorado for a non-conference matchup with Adams State.

All Time Series
WT leads the all-time series against Adams State, 6-1. The Lady Buffs and Grizzlies first squared off on Aug. 26, 2006, with the Lady Buffs taking a 4-0 victory. The two teams met in the 2021 where WT walked away with a 9-0 win.

Last Time Out
The Lady Buffs opened the 2022 season with a win over No. 14 Emporia State, their first back-to-back opening day wins since 2011. The Lady Buffs held a 2-0 advantage at halftime before putting the game away in the closing minutes.

Scouting Adams State
The Grizzlies come off a 4-0 season-opening loss to Stonehill College. In the loss, Adams State registered seven shots, placing four on frame. Goalkeeper Ashlyn Bartley made four saves on 14 shots faced.

International Impact
Asha James and
Maria-Frances Serrant combined for all three of the Lady Buff goals in the season opener against the Hornets. James collected one on a penalty kick before putting the game away in the 81
st minute. Serrant took a pass downfield from
Mandy Stricker, beating the goalkeeper with a finishing touch.
