Harry Walch fired a one-under 71 in the opening round to sit tied for 16
th after the opening day at the Rattler Invitational hosted by St. Mary's at The Dominion Country Club (Par 72 – 6,937 Yards).
The Staines, England product registered seven birdies on the day including six feathers in the opening round to sit tied for fourth after the first 18 holes in San Antonio. The Buffs shot a 310 (+22) in the opening round before besting their score by nine strokes in round two (301) to sit 10
th overall heading into Tuesday.
The host Rattlers lead the way on the team leaderboard with a 581 (+5) to hold a six-stroke leader over Texas A&M-Commerce (+11, 587). Jake Doggett from Midwestern State and Sebastian Tannum Donaldson from St. Mary's are tied atop of the individual leaderboard with a -2 (142).
