No. 15 West Texas A&M Takes on Eastern New Mexico in Portales

CANYON, Texas -- The West Texas A&M women's soccer team travels to rival Eastern New Mexico for a Lone Star Conference matchup in Portales. The Lady Buffs and Greyhounds kickoff at 5 p.m. Central at Greyhound Stadium.

Live stats and stream will be available for Saturday's match provided by the ENMU athletic communications department. Viewers have the option to watch the match on the Lone Star Conference Digital Network for a $10 24-hour day pass or $50 season pass.
 
All TIME SERIES
The Lady Buffs hold an 18-7-3 record against Eastern New Mexico in a series dating back to 2003. WT has won the past two meetings by a score of 2-1 in 2019 and 3-1 in 2021.
 
SCOUTING EASTERN NEW MEXICO
The Greyhounds enter the contest after falling their previous two contests. ENMU fell 1-0 at home to UT Permian Basin on Wednesday. On Saturday, the Greyhounds hit the road, losing to No. 1-ranked Dallas Baptist by the same score. As a team, ENMU has five goals on the season, each from a different player, and two assists. Samantha Jeffries accounts for every minute in goal, allowing 15 goals and stopping 85 shots for a 1.07 goals-against average and 0.850 save percentage.
 
LAST TIME OUT
The Lady Buffs pushed their home winning streak to seven games with a 2-0 defeat of Midwestern State on Saturday night. WT and Midwestern State went to the halftime break scoreless before Nicole Gray scored early in the second half. Kyndahl Britton added an insurance goal for the Lady Buffs, her first collegiate score.
 
NATIONAL STANDINGS
WT moved up two spots to No. 15 in the latest United Soccer Coaches Top-25 poll. The top-10 remained the same apart from the College of Saint Rose jumping from 11th to eighth. Dallas Baptist, West Chester, Embry-Riddle (Fl.), Columbus State, and Central Missouri take the top five spots while Grand Valley State, Western Washington, Saint Rose, Hawaii-Hilo, and Colorado School of Mines take the sixth through 10th spots.
 
BACK-TO-BACK
Sophomore goalkeeper Reagan Heelan earned LSC Goalkeeper of the Week honors for the second consecutive week and third time this season. Heelan led the Lady Buffs to two shutout victories and hasn't allowed a goal since Oct. 1, totaling 395 minutes in that time.

The Lady Buffs return home for a mid-day matchup with St. Mary's on Saturday. WT hosts the Rattlers at 1 p.m. at The Pitch.
