Lady Buffs Force 25 Turnovers in a 68-51 Road Win in Portales

CANYON, Texas – The Lady Buffs finished the night with four players in double-figures as they forced 25 turnovers and outscored the Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds 21-8 in the fourth quarter on their way to a 68-51 non-conference regional victory at Greyhound Arena in Portales, New Mexico. 
 
Zamorye Roberts led the way for the Lady Buffs as the junior went 5-of-14 from the floor including 5-of-6 from the charity stripe for a game-high 15 points to go along with three assists and four steals. Lauren Taylor impressed in her first start of the season, finishing with 14 points and four boards while Alivia Lewis (10) and Haylei Janssens (11) both finished in double-figures with Karley Motschenbacher grabbing 11 rebounds with nine points.
 
The Lady Buffs finished the night going 24-of-69 (34.8%) from the floor including 2-of-17 (11.8%) from deep and 18-of-25 (72%) from the free throw line with 47 rebounds (22 offensive, 25 defensive), nine assists, 17 turnovers, five blocks and nine steals in the win.
 
Natalie Stice went 6-of-20 from the field including 2-of-7 from behind the arc to lead the way for the Hounds with 15 points to go along with seven rebounds, three assists, two blocks and a steal. ENMU finished the game going 21-of-62 (33.9%) from the floor including 3-of-10 (30%) from deep and 6-of-11 (54.5%) from the stripe with 44 rebounds (19 offensive, 25 defensive), 10 assists, 25 turnovers, three blocks and seven steals.

The Lady Buffs return home on Saturday afternoon as they host the Western New Mexico Mustangs in non-conference action with tipoff set for 4 p.m. at the First United Bank Center in Canyon.
