CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M's
Eemeli Jarvinen sits atop of the individual leaderboard by one stroke while the Buffs take a seven shot lead into the final round of the Ryan Palmer Foundation Invitational (Par 71 – 6,937 Yards) at Amarillo Country Club.
The first round saw the Buffs sit tied atop of the leaderboard following the first 18 holes with a 282 (-2) highlighted by a three-under 68 from Jarvinen and a 70 (-1) by
Daniel Unger as the two combined for 10 birdies in the round.
Jarvinen's second round tied for the second lowest single-round stroke score and the third lowest single-round par score in program history as he registered seven birdies for a five-under 66. Round two also marks the lowest stroke score round by the Buffs in program history as they shot a 276 (-8) to sit atop of the leaderboard.
Tuesday's final round will see traditional tee times beginning at 8:30 a.m. on the 1
st and 10
th tees at Amarillo CC.
