CANYON, Texas – The #15 Buffaloes of West Texas A&M found their rhythm offensively on Saturday afternoon as they registered seven extra-base hits in a 14-2 run-rule victory over the St. Edward's Hilltoppers at Wilder Park in Canyon, Texas.
The Buffs and Hilltoppers conclude their Lone Star Conference series tomorrow afternoon with first pitch scheduled for 1 p.m. in Canyon.

RECAP:
The Hilltoppers got on the board first in the top of the Hunter Torrez singled to left center with two on and two outs to drive in Morgan Allen for the early 1-0 lead. The Buffs exploded for six runs in the home half of the second as
Luke Hughes lifted a two-run bomb to left center field followed by RBI from
Keone Givens and
Cade Engle to make it 6-1.
WT blew the game open in the third as
Izaiah Madrid crushed a three-run bomb over the scoreboard in left field followed by an
Eric Ortiz RBI groundout to make it 10-1, the Buffs weren't done in the frame as
Darius Carter singled up the middle to drive in Engle and
Caleb Flores to run the lead to 12-1.
SEU responded in the top of the fourth with a Ty Markee solo homerun to left field before the Buffs added to their lead in the bottom of the inning with a Givens RBI double off of the left center field wall to make it 13-2. WT would add an insurance run in the sixth as Engle doubled down the right field line to score Madrid at 14-2.
Zach Dixon picked up the victory (2-0) for the Buffs as the senior allowed two runs on four hits with two walks and six strikeouts in his six innings of work,
Carter Brown tossed a scoreless seventh inning for the Buffs with a pair of strikeouts to close out the victory.
