2021:
Ortiz saw time in 38 games with 32 starts for the Buffaloes during the 2021 season. The Puerto Rico product hit .322 with 12 doubles, one triple and three homeruns to drive in 25 RBI for a slugging percentage of .578 to go along with 13 walks for an on-base clip of .408. Defensively he registered 35 putouts and 38 assists.

2020:
Ortiz saw time in 10 contests with eight starts for the Buffaloes during the pandemic-shortened 2020 campaign. The Puerto Rico native hit .080 on the season with a pair of homeruns to drive in three RBI for a slugging percentage of .320. Ortiz drew four walks for an on-base clip of .207 to go along with 28 putouts and six assists at third base for a perfect fielding percentage.

At Palm Beach State College:
Ortiz spent one season at Palm Beach State College in Lake Worth, Florida where he redshirted for the Panthers.

At Colegio San Carlos:
Ortiz graduated from Colegio San Carlos in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico in 2016 where he played third base and caught for the Spartans. He also excelled in the classroom, earning Honors GPA and the President's Award.

Personal:
Born July 4, 1998. Son of Eric Ortiz and Vienna Javier and he has two siblings, Alexandria and Julian. Majoring in Sports & Exercise Science at West Texas A&M.
