Biography

2019 (Redshirt):
Hughes redshirted for the Buffaloes during the 2019 season.

At Cameron:
Hughes came to Canyon from Lone Star Conference rival Cameron where he played third base and in the outfield for the Aggies. As a sophomore in 2018, he hit .299 with 13 doubles and two homeruns to drive in 24 RBI for an on-base percentage of .418 as he earned Second Team All-Region accolades as a utility player.

At Prosper High School:
Registered a standout prep career at Prosper High School where he was a utility player for the Eagles under the guidance of head coach Rick Carpenter. He was a First Team All-District selection as a senior in 2017 following a run to the Texas 4A State Championship during his junior season.

Personal:
Born August 5, 1997. Parents are Matt and Brandi Hughes and he has two siblings. Majoring in Management at West Texas A&M.
