CANYON, Texas – After continuous lightning strikes for more than an hour on Thursday night at The Pitch in Canyon, the match between West Texas A&M and Fort Lewis was called a no contest after 63 minutes of play. 

WT and FLC needed to play 70 minutes for it to be ruled an official contest, but the game was called in the 64^thminute due to multiple lightning strikes in the area with the Lady Buffs trailing 4-3.

According to NCAA rules, the game is called "no contest" and any of the statistics from the partial game do not count. 

The Lady Buffs return to action on Saturday, Sept. 14, against Adams State at 1 p.m. at The Pitch.
