CANYON, Texas – The West Texas A&M women's soccer team concludes a three-game road trip Wednesday at Eastern New Mexico, beginning at 8 p.m. CT in Portales, N.M. The Lady Buffs are 4-2-3 overall and 2-0-2 in Lone Star Conference play, while ENMU is 2-6-2 on the year with a 1-3 mark in league play.

WT is coming off a 1-0-1 weekend where it battled back from a 2-1 deficit to tie league-leading Angelo State on Friday and posted a convincing 4-0 win at UT Permian Basin on Sunday. In Sunday's match, freshman Noir Hawash had her first career hat trick in the win, as it was the first hat trick for the Lady Buffs since Leslie Briggs on Aug. 31, 2012, against Colorado Mesa.
Hawash had five shots (.600) with three on frame for the week (.600) and recorded her first penalty kick for the Lady Buffs for one of her scores against the Falcons. For the season, she is tied for the team-lead in goals with three and second on the team in points with seven. Junior goalkeeper Courtney Dippel also had an outstanding week as she went 1-0-1 in two starts, logging 186:14 minutes. She allowed two goals for a 0.97 goals against average for the week, while recording 12 saves (.857) and faced 26 shots. She combined with freshman Syneca Pyszko for the shutout at UTPB. Dippel had a season-high 10 saves in the tie at Angelo State.
For the season, the Lady Buffs are led by sophomore Marlene van Mourik who has three goals and two assists for eight points. She has a team-high 38 shots (.079) with 23 on frame (.605) and one game winner. Hawash is second in scoring with seven points on three goals. She has seven shots (.429) with three on frame (.429) and converted the team's lone penalty kick. Freshman Calista Cordero is third in scoring with five points on two goals and one assist. She has nine shots (.222) with five on goal (.556) and a game winner.
The team has 14 goals on the season with 10 assists and 38 points. WT has 126 shots (.111) with 62 on goal (.492), along with four game winners and one PK. The opposition has 13 goals with nine assists and 35 points, while taking 107 shots (.121) and 52 were on target (.486). The opponents have two game winners with one converted penalty kick. WT has 32 corner kicks to 25 for the opposition.
In goal Dippel has played and started all nine games for 819:15 minutes, allowing 12 goals with a 1.32 goals against average, along with 36 saves (.750) and a 4-2-3 record with two shutouts, one combined shutout and has faced 99 shots. Pyszko has played in two games and 50:45 minutes, with one goal allowed (1.77), three saves (.750), a combined shutout and faced seven shots.
Nationally speaking, the Lady Buffs rank fourth in the LSC in most statistical categories, while Dippel is fifth in minutes played at 819:15. She also is fifth in goals against average at a 1.318 clip. Hawash and van Mourik are sixth in the league in total goals.
Eastern New Mexico is coming off a pair of shutout losses on the road at UT Permian Basin (1-0, OT) and at Angelo State (3-0). The Greyhounds are led by Ariel Lopez who has three goals and two assists for eight points. She has a team-high 24 shots (.125) with 12 on goal (.500) and one converted penalty kick. Kaitlyn Caro and Jaci Sievers each have two goals on the year. The team has scored 12 goals with seven assists for 31 points. ENMU has 114 shots (.105), with 64 on goal (.561), two game winners and one penalty kick scored.
In goal, Alejandra Camarillo has played and started all 10 games, logging all 965:34 minutes. She has allowed 20 goals (1.86 GAA), with 36 saves (.643) and a 2-6-2 record. She has one shutout and faced 101 shots. Her 965:34 minutes leads the LSC and is 15th nationally.
ENMU head coach Ryan Spence was hired on June 1, 2017, as he was named the fifth head coach in program history. He played collegiately at Midwestern State and served as an assistant at Texas A&M-International.
WT leads the all-time series with ENMU 14-6-1 and have won the last four in the series. The Lady Buffs are 5-5 in Portales and have won the last two meetings there. WT is 8-1-1 at home and 1-0 in neutral meetings. WT head coach Chad Webb is 9-4-1 against the Greyhounds.
