Lady Buffs Win Last Game of Roadtrip

The West Texas A&M University women's soccer team played to a 4-1 victory, Sunday against Colorado Christian at Lakewood, Colo., in their last game on their three-game roadtrip through Colorado.

The Lady Buffs' first goal came in the fourth minute of play in the first half when freshman forward Sarit Shenar scored an unassisted goal off a defelction.

But the Cougars scored to tie the game in the 28th minute, on a goal by Keri Pendergrass.

Senior midfielder Ashleigh Scott scored in the 42nd minute to give the Lady Buffs a 2-1 lead going into halftime.

Shenar scored her second goal of the game and sixth of the year in the 74th minute off junior midfielder Nicole deJongh's assist and the Lady Buffs didn't look back from there.

The scoring was capped just before the final whistle by an unassisted goal from deJongh in the 90th minute.

This improves the Lady Buffs record to 5-2, and resume action October 3rd at 4 p.m. when they take on Texas A&M-Commerce at Commerce, Texas.
