CANYON, TEXAS – The West Texas A&M Buffaloes close out their season at the biggest tournament of the year beginning on Monday afternoon as they take part in the 2026 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championships being held at Boulder Creek Golf Club (Par 72 – 7,595 Yards) in Boulder City, Nevada.
 
The tournament format starts with a 54-hole stroke play competition May 18-20, then the top eight teams qualify for match play May 21-22 to determine a National Champion. 
 
The Buffs punched their ticket to the program's third straight NCAA Championships with rounds of 284, 281 and 294 for a team total of 859 (-5) during the South Central/West Regional Championships in Stockton, California. WT led the 20-team field in par-three scoring (3.10) as they finished the 56-hole event with three eagles, 46 birdies and 170 pars.
 
The 20-team field features: Western Washington, Central Missouri, Charleston, Gannon, Florida Southern, Cal State San Marcos, Georgia Southwestern, Washburn, Wheeling, Columbus State, Nova Southeastern, Missouri-St. Louis, Grand Valley State, Colorado Christian, West Florida, Wingate, Lee, Cal State San Bernardino, West Texas A&M and Cal State East Bay.
 
The Buffs will be paired with Charleston (W.V.) and Central Missouri during Monday's opening round.
