CANYON, Texas – The third seeded West Texas A&M Buffaloes fell to seeded Cameron on Wednesday during the semifinal round of the Lone Star Conference Medal Match Play at Rockwall Golf & Athletic Center (Par 72 – 7,320 Yards) in Rockwall, Texas.
 
Luis Palomo claimed the first point of the afternoon for the Buffaloes as the senior shot a +3 (75) highlighted by three birdies thru his first nine holes to earn half a point. WT claimed a win in the final matchup of the day as LSC Individual Champion David Vega Gerstel fired a 70 (-2) with three birdies and just one bogey to finish three up.

The Buffs turn their attention to the NCAA Division II Men's Golf Postseason as the complete field for the 2026 tournament will be announced on Sunday, April 26^th. The NCAA West/South Central Regional Championships take place on May 7-9 at The Reserve at Spanos Park in Stockton, California.
