CANYON, Texas – The #7 Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M close out their LSC road trip on Saturday afternoon as they take on the Oklahoma Christian Lady Eagles with tipoff set for 1:00 p.m. at the Payne Athletic Center in Edmond, Oklahoma.

CAMERON REWIND
The Lady Buffs connected 13 times from behind the arc on Thursday night as they rolled past the Cameron Aggies in Lone Star Conference action, 75-59 at Aggie Gym in Lawton, Oklahoma.
Kyla Kane led WT with 14 points and six rebounds, converting all four of her three-point attempts.
Claire Graham added 13 points and distributed five assists while making three of six shots from beyond the arc.
Henley West was the top scorer with 18 points and contributed a block.
Kenadee Winfrey recorded two steals and added three points.

SCOUTING THE LADY EAGLES
Oklahoma Christian holds an overall record of 9-11 with a 5-8 mark in Lone Star Conference play as they ride a two-game winning streak. OC is 6-4 so far this season inside of the Payne Athletic Complex with home victories over Chadron State (twice), Christian Brothers, Dallas Christian, Midwestern State and Eastern New Mexico.

The Lady Eagles outscored Eastern New Mexico 20-12 in the fourth quarter on Thursday night to claim a 66-55 victory in Edmond. Oklahoma Christian shot 48.1% from the floor with four players in double-figures led by Taylor Jackson, going 7-of-14 from the field with 19 points along with seven rebounds, one assist, one block and three steals.

Jackson leads the way offensively for the Lady Eagles as the senior forward from McKinney, Texas has gone 103-of-214 (48.1%) from the floor including 7-of-29 (24.1%) from behind the arc and 82-of-132 (62.1%) from the free throw line to average 14.8 points per game to go along with 160 rebounds (49 offensive, 111 defensive), 28 assists, 32 steals and six blocks. She has reached double-figures in 16 games this season with a season-high 30 points against Midwestern State back on January 31st.

OC HEAD COACH MARKEITH BROWN
Markeith Brown is now in his fourth season at the helm of the Oklahoma Christian women's basketball program after being named OC's third head coach on April 21, 2022. He holds an overall record of 33-65 during his time in Edmond.

Brown came to Edmond following seven seasons as the top assistant at former LSC foe East Texas A&M. The Lions went 143-57 during his time in Commerce with four NCAA Tournament trips. Brown was named the NCAA Division II World Exposure Women's Assistant Coach of the Year in March 2020.

THE SERIES
Saturday afternoon marks the ninth all-time meeting on the hardwood between the Lady Buffs and Lady Eagles. WT is 7-1 in the series that dates back to 2014. The Lady Buffs are 2-1 all-time at the Payne Athletic Center as they dropped their last trip to Edmond back in 2023.

The last matchup saw the Lady Buffs score 45 points in the second half on their way to a 76-51 victory at the First United Bank Center back on December 4th.
Randi Harding led the way for WT as the senior went 5-of-11 from the floor including 6-of-6 from the free throw line to score 17 points with two boards, one assist and two steals.

WT HEAD COACH JOSH PROCK
Josh Prock is now in his fifth season at the helm of the Lady Buff Basketball program. The Lady Buffs made the program's 29th appearance in the NCAA Division II Postseason during the 2024-25 campaign as they went 19-13 overall with a 12-10 mark in the LSC. The Lady Buffs advanced to the South Central Regional Semifinals.

Prock reached the 300-career victory milestone on Thursday, December 4th in a 76-51 victory over Oklahoma Christian at the First United Bank Center in Canyon. Prock was introduced as West Texas A&M's head women's basketball coach on June, 2, 2021. Prock is no stranger to the Lone Star Conference as he spent eight seasons as the head coach at Eastern New Mexico leading the Greyhounds to their only three NCAA Tournament appearances in program history.

West Texas A&M is home to one of the finest multi-purpose facilities in the country as the First United Bank Center has served as the home of the Lady Buffs since January 26, 2002. The Lady Buffs are a staggering 298-48 inside of the FUBC during that time for a winning clip of 86.3%. WT has averaged 1,035 fans per contest since the facility opened its doors with the largest crowd coming on Opening Night with 4,941 members of Buff Nation seeing the Lady Buffs take on rival Abilene Christian.

LSC PRESEASON PLAYER OF THE YEAR
West Texas A&M senior guard
Kyla Kane was tabbed the Lone Star Conference Preseason Player of the Year announced on Monday, October 20th. The 5-foot-10 native of Wellington, Texas, averaged 13.1 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game. She shot 89.8 percent from the free throw line and made 56 3-pointers.

LSC PRESEASON POLL
The Lady Buffs were selected fourth in the 2025 LSC Preseason Coaches' Poll. Defending Regional Champion Texas Woman's claimed 20 of the possible 51 first place votes to sit atop of the poll with 810 points followed by Lubbock Christian (14 first place, 776), UT Tyler (eight first place, 761), West Texas A&M (six first place, 663) and Eastern New Mexico (two first place, 657) to round out the top five. Angelo State (656) sits sixth followed by Texas A&M-Kingsville (564), UT Permian Basin (466), Midwestern State (461), St. Mary's (438), St. Edward's (363), Oklahoma Christian (310), Cameron (262), Texas A&M International (one first place, 210), UT Dallas (168), Western New Mexico (161) and Sul Ross State (77).

WBCA DIVISION II TOP-25 POLL
The Lady Buffs dropped one spot to seventh in the newest edition of the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Division II Top-25 Poll announced on Tuesday.

The South Central Region is represented by Texas Woman's (3rd), Colorado Mesa (4th), WT (7th), Lubbock Christian (20th) and Adams State (RV).
